Dr. Anwuli Irene Ofuani-Sokolo

An Associate Professor of Law in the Department of Private and Property Law, Faculty of Law, University of Benin, Nigeria. She holds a PhD in Human Rights from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Her research and advocacy focus on disability rights, human rights, inclusive education, gender equality, and the protection of persons with intellectual disabilities. She has published extensively in national and international journals and has contributed to policy and academic discourse on disability inclusion in Africa.

Beyond her academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Anwuli is a passionate advocate for the rights of children and persons with disabilities, drawing inspiration from her lived experience as a mother of an autistic child. She is committed to advancing inclusive policies and practices that promote dignity, equality, and social justice for all.
