Pastor Dr. George Orobosa Osawaru

a seasoned broadcasting professional, educator, disability rights advocate, and public servant with over three decades of distinguished service in Nigeria. A visually impaired leader, he has demonstrated exceptional resilience and commitment to advancing the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.

He holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in History from the University of Benin and a Master’s Degree in Educational Management. During his illustrious career with the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), he rose from Producer to Director and Head of Radio Services, providing strategic leadership in broadcasting, media administration, and public communication.

Pastor Osawaru has played prominent leadership roles in the disability movement, he served as President of the Bendel State Association for the Blind, President of the Edo State Association of the Blind, and first President of the Network for the Advancement of People with Visible Disability. He is also the Senior Pastor of Yadah International Christian Center, Benin City.

Currently, he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Network for the Advancement of People with Visible Disabilities (NAPVID), where he contributes his wealth of experience in leadership, advocacy, governance, and community development.
